COURSE INFORMATION
The Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 certification is designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. Typically, this course covers essential first aid techniques such as assessing the scene, performing CPR, controlling bleeding, treating shock, and managing minor injuries. OFA Level 1 training aims to equip participants with the confidence and abilities to administer immediate care until professional medical help arrives.
Students can expect a mix of indoor and outdoor learning for the practical outdoor training, please prepare for any weather conditions.
Students can use their own outdoor gear so as to be familiar with the equipment that will be available to them in a real world first aid situation.
Things to bring:
- Comfortable clothing
- Weatherproof outerwear for the outdoors portion of the course. Please check the weather forecast each day and dress appropriately.
- Lunch/Snacks/Water
- Pen/pencil and notebook (recommended)
- First Aid/Guide’s pack if you have one
