COURSE INFORMATION
The Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 certification is an advanced training program designed to equip individuals with comprehensive skills and knowledge to respond effectively to workplace emergencies. Building upon the foundation established in OFA Level 1, this course delves deeper into first aid techniques, emergency assessment, and medical treatment. Participants learn advanced skills such as airway management, spinal immobilization, wound care, splinting, and administering medications.
Students can expect a mix of indoor and outdoor learning for the practical outdoor training, please prepare for any weather conditions.
Students can use their own outdoor gear so as to be familiar with the equipment that will be available to them in a real world first aid situation.
Things to bring:
- Comfortable clothing
- Weatherproof outerwear for the outdoors portion of the course. Please check the weather forecast each day and dress appropriately.
- Lunch/Snacks/Water
- Pen/pencil and notebook (recommended)
- First Aid/Guide’s pack if you have one
