Trip INFORMATION
Located just a few hours from the ski resort boundary, the Kees and Claire hut is the perfect way to experience the best skiing that Garibaldi Provincial Park has to offer. Enjoy the comfort and convenience of a beautiful alpine backcountry hut during your stay. Join us for a 2-night, 3-day adventure, or customize a trip that meets all your backcountry needs.
Your experienced ski guide will offer instructions on using backcountry equipment and will lead you on memorable ski descents. With intimate group sizes, you'll receive personalized attention at a comfortable pace throughout the day. This is an essential experience during your visit to Whistler!
You can reach the hut by following the Musical Bumps trail. Starting from the top of the Peak Express, the hut is located 9.4 km away with an elevation gain of 515 meters. The journey takes approximately 2.5 to 4.5 hours. Beyond the hut, the mountains become significantly larger, including notable peaks like Fissile and Overlord.
The Kees and Claire Hut: The hut is the first of three planned in the Spearhead Range, located beneath Fissile Peak. It accommodates up to 38 guests, divided into six sleeping areas. The hut is fully heated, so there’s no need to bring anything other than a sleeping bag! It is also equipped with stoves and all the necessary cooking equipment to prepare a meal after a long day of ski touring.
Lift Ticket: If you do NOT currently possess a valid Whistler Blackcomb lift ticket (Seasons Pass, Spirit Pass, Edge Card, Epic Pass, etc.), you may buy a lift ticket through our office at checkout.
